City players celebrate as they scored.

Manchester City reached the League Cup semi-finals for the fourth time in seven seasons by an easy win over Hull City.

Wilfried Bony scored the opener by hammering in a rebound off the post.

Kelechi Iheanacho turned in Raheem Sterling’s cross for the first of four goals in the final 10 minutes.

Kevin de Bruyne raced past the Hull defence to poke in and then clipped in a delightful free-kick, before Andrew Robertson dinked in the Championship side’s consolation after a fine move.

Manchester City, who last won the competition in 2014, will find out their semi-final opponents when the draw is made on Wednesday.

Blues manager Manuel Pellegrini reiterated the importance of the League Cup to his club ahead of kick-off, particularly this season with Premier League rivals Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal already out.

And the competition holds particular significance for the Chilean, who won his first English trophy by leading the Blues to success in his first season.

Manuel Pellegrini believes Man. City should win the League Cup.

Manchester City were suffered defeat by a youthful Newcastle side last season, but they learned from this experience against Championship promotion hopefuls Hull.

The Premier League leaders fielded a strong side, dominating but not creating a host of clear chances until the final 10 minutes.

It will be one of the most interesting match-up, though one we’ve already enjoyed several times over the past few weeks.

However, unlike the past games where we watched Conquest take the upper hand, most had doubts about Shahzam and friends, since the map is de_cache.

This is one of their usual vetoes, and overall they played it only a handful of times, always offering very mixed and not so convincing results.

On the other hand while Liquid surely dropped the ball a bit in recent weeks, and they are no longer the tank they were a couple of months ago, they tend to remain consistent in their performance at de_cache.

Here they’ve always provided quite good shows, even against EU teams, so our confidence in them was proved right.

Man of the match also went to Liquid’s Jonathan ‘EliGE’ Jablonowski, with his rating up 0.06 to 1.05 and a kill rate of 0.75.

In the end, Liquid won by 8:7, 8:1.

Week 10 Review

The Good: A Comfortably Slumping Chelsea

Now that they lost yet again to West Ham, Chelsea almost seems comfortable that they are currently 15th in the premier league with 10 games gone. It was their fifth loss of the season and the champions won’t be having relief next week where they will face off against Liverpool. Additionally, the Blues will face an automatic FA fine after receiving seven yellow cards during the loss to the Hammers.

It just goes to show how much the team is almost in shambles too. Matic was sent off after being booked twice in nine minutes before the break, and Mourinho joined him after speaking to referee Jon Moss at half-time. The manager was seen at the stands among West Ham fans (see pic. Below) before disappearing entirely.
