Carlo Ancelotti: Ronaldo will not join Bayern Munich

Carlo Ancelotti, newly appointed coach at Bayern Munich, had played down the chances for Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to make a move to Bayern Munich.

Ancelotti is praiseful towards the recent European Championship winner, but the Italian is convinced that the Portuguese would not be tempted to leave the Bernabeu even if the Bundesliga giants offered to.

Both Ancelotti and Ronaldo worked together closely previously in Real Madrid as they won La Decima, the club’s tenth Champions League title.

“I love Ronaldo’s professional attitude,” Ancelotti said.

“Journalists often ask me how difficult it is to work with players like him and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but it is really easy. You don’t have to tell these kinds of players anything. They are very disciplined and focused.”

“Something can always happen in football, but it is very hard to see a player like Ronaldo at another club,” he further elaborated. “he same goes for players like Lionel Messi, Philipp Lahm, Thomas Muller and Paolo Maldini, who played his entire career at Milan. Players like them simply cannot leave their clubs. They care too much about the clubs the play for.”

Meanwhile in Spain, Real is prepared to keep Alvaro Morata within their ranks despite determination from English clubs to get his signature.

Spain international Alvaro Morata is likely to stay in Real Madrid

Real Madrid is cease negotiations for 23-year-old Morata, with Chelsea reportedly having a €60m bid rejected.

Morata, who starred for Spain in the European championships recently, will return to his city of birth for pre-season. He could even be in the Real Madrid starting line-up that features against Chelsea on July 30 in Michigan when both sides meet in the International Champions Cup tournament.

Chelsea, who has already reined in Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi from Ligue club Marseille, is currently on the look for another striker to compensate for new coach Antonio Conte’s preferred two-forward system.
