Giants gaming keep the LCS dream going

Giants gaming had kept their LCS dream going albeit by a threat, whereas their rivals and opponents, Copenhagen Wolves will be packing their bags for home.

It was D-day for the bottom ranking teams to decide who will stay in the tournament, and as the battle heats up both sides fought up to the fifth and final map.

But it was the Copenhagen Wolves who took the lead first, leading 2-1 and needing just one more to seal the deal. But the Giants fought back with a vengeance, and with two wins in a row they retain a chance to play in the LCS.

And they do not have the time to rest their battle-weary spirits. This weekend, they will be facing Splyce, and the winner will retain their LCS spot while the loser will go into a deciding match. Roccat and Team Huma, sitting on the other side of the bracket will fight for the same stakes.

Some would say that the Giants’ success came after the huge changes they have made to their roster just weeks before the end of the regular season. They swapped out four of their five starting players, with only Isaac “xPepii” Flores remained on the starting lineup.

Korean players Kim “Wisdom” Tae-wan and Son “Sonstar” Seung-ik joined in the jungle and AD carry position, while former Dignitas starter Lennart “SmittyJ” Warkus came in to the top lane and Morgan “Hustlin” Granberg was a surprise addition to support.
