Pep Guardiola, manager of Bayern Munich apologized as he put managers under pressure by announcing his intention to move into the Premier League next season.
Speaking at Bayern’s winter training camp in Doha, he said he was “sorry” if his comments were disrespectful.
“It was not my intention to offend anybody,” the former player said.
“Normally in my car eer as a trainer and as a player, I respect my colleagues a lot.”
The Spaniard has revealed that he will be leaving the Bundesliga giant, and had since received a number of offers from English clubs.
However, Guardiola did not reveal his future employers, saying that he would only name them after an agreement or contract is reached.
“I don’t know. Of course I’m focused on Bayern Munich, but this doesn’t change the fact that I will be training a team next season.”
Guardiola is the most coveted manager in the game, winning 14 trophies with Barcelona and 5 with Bayern Munich, and is poised to win another Bundesliga title with Bayern as they distanced themselves from second placed Borussia Dortmund by 8 points.
It is an incredible record for him; for every 18 matches he has coached, he has won a trophy.
