Golden State Warriors advances unbeaten streak to 22

Published by:

The Warriors extend their winning streak to 22.

Stephen Curry scores 16 of his 28 points in the third quarter, extending the Golden State Warriors winning streak to 22 by beating the Brooklyn Nets 114-98.

Coming off consecutive 40-point games, Curry was having a relatively quiet and even puzzling night before helping the Warriors regain control.

As the basketball ace missed three of free throws, the Brooklyn Nets looked more like a team that almost beat the Warriors earlier this season, and has returned with the intent to finish the job.

But the Curry put together one of his electrifying flurries to end that notion, and Golden State put it away in a hurry with a blistering start to the fourth.

Klay Thompson scored 21 for the Warriors, who won their 26th in a row overall in the regular season, one behind the 2012-13 Miami Heat for the second-longest streak in NBA history.

Draymond Green added 22 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

The Warriors equaled another NBA record, tying the 1969-70 New York Knicks for the best road start at 12-0. They visit Indiana on Tuesday.

Qatar World Cup receives support from David Beckham

Beckham believes that it is about bringing football to new countries.

Despite growing uncertainty regarding hosting rights, David Beckham believes the 2022 World Cup should be held in Qatar.

Fifa, the hosting body is under investigations of corruption in recent months.

Beckham said: “Whether it’s corrupt or not, those countries have been chosen. People need to get behind that.”

“It’s about bringing football to new countries. They should stick with it. They’ll make it work.”

In June a leading Fifa official said Russia and Qatar could lose the 2018 and 2022 World Cups if evidence emerges of bribery.

Russia and Qatar have denied wrongdoing in their bidding processes and the official, Domenico Scala, said he had not seen evidence of corruption.

When asked whether football’s governing body will truly reform, the 40-year-old former England captain said: “No – they are just hitting the bend.”

“It’s such a mess that it’s going to take a while to sort out.”

“For me to see the game, the way it’s been treated and looked after, is devastating. It’s disgusting.”

Last week, Fifa plunged further into crisis when US authorities investigating corruption at the sport’s governing body charged 16 officials.

Team Liquid victory at The Defense Season 5

Team OG went in to finals of The Defense Season 5 looking strong, but stop short of winning after Team Liquid defeated them by 3-1.

OG appeared to be the more formidable team before the fixture, having just won the Frankfurt Major and DreamLeague Season 4.

However, things went Team Liquid’s way when FATA- was given his signature Razor and a Kuroky support Silencer helped the team dominate.

OG got a weak total of three kills in the stomp to start.

But typical OG magic evened things out in Game 2 as the team got a laundry list of their comfort heroes — Miracle- got Shadow Fiend, N0tail got Phantom Lancer, Cr1t got Rubick and Fly secured Bane.

The OG cores went to town and Team Liquid dropped their only game of the series.

However, as OG made the exact same picks in Game 3 Team Liquid went creative.

Team Liquid got creative, picking up Legion Commander for FATA- as well as a Tiny/Io combo.

MATUMBAMAN’s Tiny did typical Tiny things and went 12/1/11, becoming an unstoppable force in the game.

MATUMBAMAN was the star of the show again in Game 4, using Ursa to destroy any hopes for a third consecutive championship. His phenomenal Abyssal Blade timing essentially mopped the floor with OG, at the score of 28/3/9.

OG’s consolation was that their pain barely lasted over 39 minutes.
