Ronaldo is La Liga’s third all-time leading goalscorer

Ronaldo scored a second goal for Real Madrid against Eibar.

Cristiano Ronaldo has affirmed his place among the three all-time top scorers in the Spanish La Liga after scoring against Eibar on Sunday.

The former Manchester United man scored from the penalty spot for a 2-0 victory and ended a run of more than five hours without a league goal.

That strike took him onto 234 La Liga goals goals, drawing level with former Madrid favourite Hugo Sanchez in the rankings. However, Ronaldo reached the mark in 134 fewer games than the legendary Mexican forward.

His penalty, moreover, took him to 48 successful Liga spot-kicks, 11 more than anyone else in the top five European leagues since 2009/10.

However, he will need 18 more goals to surpass Telmo Zarra of Athletic Bilbao who scored 251.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi sits comfortable at the top with his 289, having added one more just recently when Barcelona defeated Real Sociedad soundly by 4-0.

Team GB beats Belgium 3-1 away in the final to lift the Davis cup.

Great Britain have won the Davis Cup for the first time since 1936 after Andy Murray beat Belgium’s David Goffin to clinch the decisive point in Ghent.

Britain have now won the team title 10 times, while Murray adds the Davis Cup to his other major titles at Wimbledon, the US Open and the Olympic Games.

Captain Leon Smith guided Britain from the third tier to glory in five years.

Murray won 6-3 7-5 6-3 to give the visitors an unassailable 3-1 lead in the best-of-five tie.

The combined challenge of whistles, shouts, camera flashes and the weight of history could not derail Murray from his task – and neither could Goffin.

Largest CSGO platform acquired by ESL

ESEA is now acquired by ESL in a mutually beneficial partnership.

The Electronic Sports League has announced its acquisition of E-Sports Entertainment Association, a community leader in the world of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

ESL and ESEA recently collaborated in creating the ESL ESEA Pro League, the largest CS:GO league in the game’s history, currently in its second season. This partnership is sure to keep the momentum going.

This announcement comes on the heels of ESL’s recent studio expansion in Burbank, California.

Co-Founder of ESL Jens Hilgers is confident these actions will continue the company’s domination, allowing the ESL to “[drive] the charge in regards to integrity in eSports as the industry continues to grow and expand in complexity.”

ESEA’s current team will continue to manage operations, and neither the ESEA brand or community will be affected by this news.

Both ESEA and ESL hold high standards for integrity—ESEA being a leading force in anti-cheating technology in CS:GO, and ESL’s denouncement of performance enhancement drugs.
