12 games had passed but a clear winner has yet to emerge.

Joint league leaders Manchester City and Arsenal are tied at 26 point on top of the table after forced into a draw in their respective games, while Leicester City follows closely behind at 25 after beating Watford on home ground.

Meanwhile the woe of defending champions deepens as they dropped one place down to sixteen following a defeat at stoke. Barcelona continues brilliant form with Messi-Neymar combo

Neymar’s stunning second goal puts a star on Barca’s continuing top-notch performance.

Despite continuously denied Messi’s divine touch, Barcelona still enjoys winning in La Liga.

Neymar scored twice and Luis Suárez added another to again lead Barcelona to a 3-0 win over Villarreal that lifted the defending champions to the top of the Spanish league.

Even as they slowly approach a rather tame El Clasico (Real Madrid was just defeated 3-2 at Sevilla), the Neymar-Suarez combo looks strong enough to carry the team through the huge challenges ahead.

The two stars lead Barcelona with 13 goals each this season and have scored 20 of the side’s 23 goals since Lionel Messi tore a ligament in his left knee in September.

Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and Lakers forward Julius Randle battles for a rebound.

In the Madison Square garden, home team Knicks cuts short the Lakers’s winning streak to just one.

This marks the fifth consecutive loss for the Lakers in the arena.

The New York Knicks beat the Lakers, 99-95, behind a late surge Sunday at Madison Square Garden.

And what a close game it was.

The Knicks only won by scoring 11 consecutive points after the Lakers took a 90-87 lead on a Kobe Bryant free throw with 3:02 to play, and thus denied the 100-point mark.

Bryant finished with 18 points but made only six of 19 shots (31.6%) in what could be his final game at Madison Square Garden.
